【老廣賀春】Amazing Guangdong New Year Carnival of folk customs

廣府年味濃！荔灣區(qū)西關(guān)民俗嘉年華啟動(dòng)

With bunches of lychees on both sides of the green stream, the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit brings a New Year flavor to Xiguan. On January 16, Xiguan Folk Carnival was officially launched at the West Square of the Cantonese Opera Art Museum.

From January 16 to 25, Yongqing Fang, Liwan District, Guangzhou recreates traditional folk customs such as Cantonese embroidery, clay sculptures, Xiguan Bridal Cakes, wood printing, olive sculpturing, and paper-cutting.

On the opening day of the event, various activities such as Cantonese opera makeup and singing Cantonese opera were presented together. People participated in the activities, and the jubilant New Year atmosphere permeated Xiguan.

一灣溪水綠，兩岸荔枝紅，兔年新春到，西關(guān)年味濃。1月16日，“福兔迎新 荔俗賀歲——2023西關(guān)民俗嘉年華”活動(dòng)在粵劇藝術(shù)博物館西廣場(chǎng)正式啟動(dòng)。從1月16日至1月25日，廣州市荔灣區(qū)永慶坊重現(xiàn)廣繡、泥塑、西關(guān)禮餅、木印、欖雕、剪紙等傳統(tǒng)民俗?；顒?dòng)啟動(dòng)當(dāng)天，開(kāi)油鑊、化粵劇妝、唱大戲等多元活動(dòng)一同亮相，市民歡慶參與，喜氣洋洋的新春年味在西關(guān)洋溢著。
